Prepared For Battle is a project, a program I put myself on to become a better man. To start journey of self-mastery and to stay on it.

And I want to make this path of self-mastery to be on many levels - physical, mental, spiritual and many others. PFB will be a journal, a tool to put everything in check. To motivate myself. To keep myself accountable. To seek challenges that push me further than regular 9 to 5 and scrolling through social media afterwards.

And first step is already done. After few years of messing about with calisthenics, kettlebells and other forms of home workouts I have signed to the gym and year later joined a powerlifting competition. But it wasn't the end because what I am on about is not some sort of a bucket list. My journey continuous and another meets are within reach. Another challenges are waiting to be conquered. Another experiences to be lived. And when time comes to say "goodnight" one last time I will not have this overwhelming feeling that my time was wasted on nothing.

But let’s get back to business. First step is a physical change. One may say that "what is so mythical about joining a gym?". I had the same feeling about it too. BUT, when you go under the bar and lift shit which feels unmovable, you will see that it can be transferred to other spectrums of life. You will see that you are able to do things that your mind is trying to convince you, are not reachable. You will find strength, motivation and excitement about battling iron. And that will give you strength, motivation and excitement to chase things you always wanted. Those reps grinded in the gym will inspire you to fight to get other things, to take risks, to believe in yourself that no matter what life will throw at you, you will kick it in the balls/crotch and get what you want!

That is what powerlifting thought me and the lesson was simple and clear - you are stronger than you think. There are billions of stronger people than myself but I think that all of us share the same passion to conquer weakness and make our lives better. I don't know anything about you and I still know very little about myself but I have chosen who I want to be and I will carve out my reality. I have forgotten about who I was in the past. I have made decision to become better, and go beyond average.
